What projects have been implemented within the framework of the national Ecology project over the past five years and what remains to be done? Alexander Shadrikov shared about that today at a traditional meeting with journalists
Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a traditional New Year's Eve meeting with journalists.
"I want to say words of sincere gratitude and appreciation to you! Together with you, we have made about 4,000 materials on environmental topics in a year. Now environmental issues are among the most urgent." At the final meeting, the head of the Ministry spoke in detail about environmental protection measures in the republic for 5 years, including within the framework of the national project "Ecology".
"Over five years, 850 environmental measures have been carried out in the region for a total of 51.8 billion rubles. This includes the federal budget, the republic's funds, and a huge contribution from enterprises. At the same time, the amount of damage prevented amounted to 58 billion rubles. Thanks to projects and programs, environmental conditions for 2.3 million people have been improved," the head of the department said.
Alexander Shadrikov noted that major pilot projects in the republic are being implemented within the framework of the national project "Ecology". This is the reclamation of BOSK silt fields in Kazan, and the reclamation of the Samosyrovsky landfill, which will be completed next year and the dismantling of the inactive oil pipeline of the Ozernoye oil field. "As a result of all environmental activities, including these projects, Tatarstan took the first place according to the environmental criteria of the ESG-ranking of subjects (according to 14 indicators). In the overall rating of compliance with ESG criteria, of which there were 45, Tatarstan took second place. This is not a one-day job, it's all done thanks to you, among other things," Alexander Shadrikov addressed reporters.
Also this year, two projects of the Ministry of Ecology won diplomas of the All-Russian competition "Reliable Partner – Ecology". The project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan "Ecology at school" became the winner in the nomination "The best educational project in the field of ecology", and the project to improve the ecological state of rivers and reservoirs of the Republic of Tatarstan was declared the best in the nomination "The best promising project and development".
Another victory is the 1st place in the campaign "Water of Russia". According to the results of 2022, 300 thousand people took part in the cleaning of coastal territories in Tatarstan, 34 thousand cubic meters of garbage were collected.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Shadrikov thanked all the journalists and wished only positive news in the coming New Year.
