Muslyumovsky dairy plant paid 760 thousand rubles for the damage caused to nature
Last year, the Priiksky territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received a letter from the Tatar Environmental Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, according to which inspectors had to conduct a survey of the territory of the Muslyumovsky dairy plant and find out whether there was a fact of discharge of wastewater to the soil. Specialists of Priiksky TA together with the chief engineer of LLC "Muslyumovsky dairy plant" went to inspect the filtration fields of the enterprise. Ecologists have identified the fact of wastewater discharge to the soil from the dairy plant, the filtration fields were filled with wastewater. Specialists took samples of the liquid, according to the results, the 4th hazard class was determined. In addition, the company expired the lease of the land plot and there was no permit documentation for the discharge of wastewater on the terrain.
The survey materials were sent to the Tatar Environmental Protection Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office.
The Prosecutor's Office issued a submission on the elimination of violations. The company had to stop using the land plot without title documents, as well as to recultivate the land and take measures to properly dispose of the plant's waste.
Then Muslyumovsky dairy plant sent a response that an application for the lease of a land plot for filtration fields is under consideration by the Head of the district administration, a contract for the treatment of filtration fields with a bioactivator has also been concluded and work is underway to reclaim the disturbed lands.
Already this year, the Tatar environmental Protection interdistrict Prosecutor's Office sent another request to conduct a survey of the territory of the Muslyumovsky dairy plant to the Priiksky TA. The inspectors conducted an on-site survey again, during which the discharge of a dark brown liquid was detected in the area northeast of the filtration fields. Soil fencing has been carried out along the perimeter of this territory. In places where the fence is destroyed, the liquid spreads over the terrain. Moreover, the land plot has not been reclaimed, the waste has not been disposed of, the discharge of liquid waste continues continuously. Specialists of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan took soil samples, the results of the analysis showed an excess of sulfates by 1.7 times. The damage caused to the environment was also calculated.
A claim for the amount of 760,500 rubles has been sent to LLC "Muslyumovsky Dairy Plant". Additionally, the case materials were transferred to the Tatar Environmental Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office. The violator compensated the damage in a pre-trial dispute settlement procedure.
