Oil Summit of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the conventional Oil Summit of the Republic of Tatarstan in Bugulma District of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, heads of republican ministries, heads of municipalities, specialists of oil branch as well as the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the Summit.

Prior to the beginning of the main session, an excursion to the exhibition of the advanced solutions of oil branch was organized for guests of the Summit. New technologies of oil production were presented at the stand of Tatneft OAO. The company has already produced 246 thousand tons of ultraviscous, bitumen oil. Daily production rate has reached 420 tons. It is planned to implement horizontal drilling and to use methods of increase in oil recovery.

The session of the Oil Summit of the Republic of Tatarstan took place after excursion.

The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
