In the air in the Aviastroitelny district, no excess of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants was detected

9 November 2022, Wednesday

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents of the Aviastroitelny district in Kazan. They complained of an unpleasant smell, presumably from the landfill of the CC "PZhKH" on Khimicheskaya Street and the enterprises of PJSC "Kazanorgsintez". Employees of the Central Territorial Administration promptly went to the Aviastroitelny District together with a mobile environmental laboratory to assess the state of the air.

Atmospheric air sampling was carried out at 5 points: on the Vosstaniya str., Belomorskaya str., Khimicheskaya str., Aidarov str. and Kolkhoznaya str. These points are located in the zone of influence of these sources. The analysis was also carried out in the evening on Pobezhimov Street and Kolkhoznaya Street. According to the results of the analysis of samples, no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants were detected.

Also, there is an automatic air pollution control station that measures the concentration of 16 pollutants in the air around the clock in the zone of influence of PJSC "Kazanorgsintez" and the landfill of the CC "PZhKH". At this station, the excess of the permissible content of pollutants in the air, as well as the facts of an increase in the concentration of such substances during the period of receipt of complaints were not recorded.

Let us recall that complaints about air quality from residents of the Aviastroitelny and Kirovsky districts were received by the Ministry of Ecology in August.  PJSC Kazanorgsintez also joined joint raids, including evening and night raids, and were ready to provide any documents and access to the territory, the SMW landfill on Khimicheskaya Street in Kazan, operated by the CC "PZhKH" did not provide access for department employees.

Considering that the SMW landfill on Khimicheskaya Street, Kazan, operated by the CC "PZhKH", as well as PJSC "Kazanorgsintez", in accordance with the legislation, are subject to federal environmental supervision, all the results of the analysis have been redirected to Rosprirodnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor for further administrative response measures.
