Illegal sewage discharge was revealed by environmentalists in Aksubayevsky district
During the survey of the Aksubayevsky district, inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration revealed the fact of the discharge of untreated wastewater into the Malaya Sulcha River. The wastewater had a whitish hue, which is typical for dairy production. The alleged source of pollution is LLC "PO "Vamin Tatarstan" (Aksubayevsky oil-making plant). Employees of the Ministry's laboratory took water samples at the discharge site, as well as upstream and downstream of the river.
According to the results of laboratory studies, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations for ammonium ion, COD, phosphate ion and petroleum products were revealed.
All materials on this fact were transferred to the Tatar environmental Protection interdistrict Prosecutor's office for taking measures of the prosecutor's response.
