Tatarstan will prematurely begin dismantling inactive pipelines in the water area of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir

As part of a working trip to Tatarstan, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Alexander Kozlov said that the dismantling of inactive pipelines of the Lake oil field, which were flooded more than 30 years ago, will begin this year, ahead of schedule. The necessary financing has been approved for the region, funds are allocated within the framework of the federal project "Improving the Volga" of the national project "Ecology".

"Just yesterday, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed an order that on the Lower Kama we begin to remove pipelines that were abandoned several years ago. Russian Federation said. He noted that the republican authorities promptly prepared all the necessary documents and sent them to the federal agency. The project was reviewed and approved. Already this year, 95.3 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for these purposes, next year — another 510 million. Co-financing from the regional budget for 2022 and 2023 will amount to 324 million rubles.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov noted that other activities are currently underway in Tatarstan under the national project. For example, the clearing of the Melekeski River in Naberezhnye Chelny and shore protection works in the Kama Estuary. "The most important thing is that we remove the negative impact of water bodies on the residents of the Kama Estuary," Alexander Shadrikov stressed. In addition, major repairs of hydraulic structures are being carried out in the region. Over three years, environmental projects totaling 18.9 billion rubles have been implemented with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.
