More than 1.5 tons of garbage were collected by the participants of the eco-run in Naberezhnye Chelny

On the bank of the Kama River, near the residential complex "Chally Yar", a city plogging race was held. Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan also took part in it. In 45 minutes, 200 participants collected 1,620 kg of garbage. Residents of Naberezhnye Chelny, united in teams of five people, not only collected garbage, but also sorted it for further processing.

The winners of the eco-race were:

The 1st place was taken by the team of Naberezhnye Chelny Polytechnic College, they collected the largest amount of garbage - 237 kg;

The 2nd place was taken by the team of Secondary School No. 4, who collected 192 kg of garbage;

The 3rd place went to the team of the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of KFU, they collected 191 kg.

Plogging is a race combined with garbage collection – a tandem of a healthy lifestyle and respect for nature. It has been held in Naberezhnye Chelny for the third year in a row. The organizers are the environmental movement "Garbage.No.More." and the Orion Youth Center with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Youth Affairs Department of the Executive Committee of the city. Partners are Volga Ecological Company LLC and EcoLab Group of Companies.

The event was held within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies" of the national project "Ecology".
