Non-governmental Environmental Foundation named after V. I. Vernadsky accepts applications for participation in the annual competition for the honorary environmental award "National Environmental Award named after V. I. Vernadsky". The main goal of the competition is to identify and popularize implemented projects in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety, the introduction of the best available technologies, the formation of environmental culture and the development of environmental education based on the ideas of Academician V. I. Vernadsky.
This year the competition is held in nine categories:
- "Science for Sustainable Development";
- "Sustainable energy";
- "Sustainable production and consumption";
- "Sustainable cities";
- "Conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity";
- "Education as a path to sustainable development";
- "Startup: universities as centers of innovation for industry";
- "Media contribution to sustainable development";
- "Children's and Youth Environmental Award".
Individuals and legal entities (registered on the territory of the Russian Federation), groups of individuals (copyright collectives), government agencies can take part. The composition of a group of individuals should not exceed 10 people. No more than one project is accepted from one participant. Only projects whose practical implementation began no more than five years ago are allowed to participate in the competition.
Applications are accepted until November 15.
