According to numerous complaints of Kazan residents, inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration and specialists of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out an operational departure and sampling of atmospheric air in Kazan. According to the results of sampling of the mobile laboratory, as well as according to the data of the AAPCS (automatic stations for monitoring atmospheric air pollution), no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants in the air were detected. However, at night and in the morning, periodic but insignificant increases in the level of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which are characteristic of combustion processes, were recorded in the air.
At the same time, we inform you that on August 31, a large forest fire was eliminated on the territory of Mari El. This was officially announced by the Ministry of Nature of the Republic of Mari El.
The fire area on August 16 was 300 hectares, and by the evening of August 22, a forest fire on the border of Mari El and Nizhny Novgorod region was on an area of 700 hectares. For today, the fire has been eliminated.
According to meteorological data, today on the territory of three subjects, including the Republic of Tatarstan, there is mainly a westerly wind direction with a speed of up to 5 meters per second, which just brings atmospheric air from those territories where a large-scale fire was recorded. In addition, according to the TAHEM of the Republic of Tatarstan, combustion products can penetrate into our republic along south-western trajectories, presumably from the territory of the Ulyanovsk region, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Republic of Mordovia, where forest fires are still being observed.
The Ministry of Ecology continues monitoring of the territory by two mobile environmental laboratories accompanied by the inspection staff of the Ministry's CTA.
