The federal program "School of Recycling: Electronics" will start working in the Republic of Tatarstan
The federal program "School of Recycling: Electronics" on environmental education and education of the younger generation, gratuitous collection and disposal of waste of electronic and electrical equipment will start working in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The corresponding agreement was signed today between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Fund for Rational Nature Management within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum. The signing was attended by Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Vladimir Alentsin, Chairman of the Council of the Fund for Rational Nature Management.
"One of the main topics of the petrochemical forum is the reduction of the carbon footprint and the introduction of the principles of circular economy. Our agreement is just about this: any school, kindergarten, budget institution will be able to hand over used electronics for free for disposal. But very often we see this technique on container sites, where it should not be. Now it will be given a second life. And, of course, one of the main things in this program is environmental education, which our new partners will be engaged in together with us. The most important thing is to save our planet. And as we have already said today, ecology is what should unite us," Alexander Shadrikov said.
The main goal of the federal program is to provide an opportunity for residents to transfer equipment that has served its time for recycling in an environmentally friendly and convenient way. So, not only authorities, budget institutions, but also everyone can dispose of electronics waste. Experience has shown that the Soviet model of collecting scrap metal and waste paper is also effective for collecting electronics, the fastest growing type of waste. We continue this tradition; all participants have the opportunity to prove themselves. At the end of the year, we will sum up the results and reward the most active," said Vladimir Alentsin.
It should be noted that the disposal is carried out at the production facilities of the Fund for Rational Nature Management for the processing of waste of electronic and electrical equipment in Lyubertsy and in Saransk.
