Maps for geotube placement are being actively prepared on the silt fields
Today, Deputy Ministers of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Shigapov and Egor Tarnavsky visited the silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan and got acquainted with the progress of work on their reclamation. The facility has already carried out most of the work on the hammering of sheet piles to form an anti-filtration curtain, and the installation of a "wet barrier" is nearing completion, which will provide protection from possible unpleasant odors when working with silt sediment. Also today, the sludge maps are being cleaned and prepared in order to proceed with the geoturbation process in the future.
It should be recalled that the recultivation of silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" in the direction of "Elimination of objects of accumulated environmental damage that pose a threat to the Volga River" of the national project "Ecology". The implementation period of the event is 2021-2024.
