Today ecology has united 60 journalists from all over Tatarstan

24 August 2022, Wednesday

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a seminar for representatives of the republican and regional media. Participants from the districts were able to join the discussions via videoconference. Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, acted as moderator and main speaker. The theme is "Ecology unites us!"

As the head of the department noted at the very beginning, addressing journalists: "Ecology is no longer just a science. Ecology is what unites us all together. You are a repeater of the main topics, the main problems that exist in society, and you are our main partners. We have one goal and one focus of attention – this is a person and his well-being." Alexander Shadrikov stressed that ecology includes a lot of areas and sections. This includes microbiology, chemistry, physics, and biology. And as in any science, a scientific approach is important here. "Everyone should do their own thing. It's like in medicine. You will not go to the dentist if you have problems with your eyes, and it is the same approach in ecology. There are specialists and experts in each direction. Today our task is to tell and explain in full what we are doing. After all, our work is often perceived very narrowly, whereas ecology is not only garbage and landfills. Ecology is life itself."  Within 5 hours, the Minister and the relevant deputies in the format of presentations and videos told about the main activities of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Issues such as the interaction of environmental protection agencies, work with scientific organizations, issues of the quality of environmental components (atmospheric air in the cities of the republic, the quality of surface water bodies, etc.), environmental education and others were voiced.

The seminar was also attended by the heads of the territorial departments of the Ministry. In the end, all the journalists were able to ask their questions and get an answer to them.
