The Arctic Challenge is a large–scale federal program aimed at attracting highly qualified specialists and managers to the regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The program was launched on June 17, 2022 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
To implement the program, a campaign has been launched to recruit qualified specialists and managerial personnel. About 200 vacancies are open in the regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in various areas: energy, construction, medicine, education, sports and tourism, media and others. The following regions participate in the project for employment: the Komi Republic, the Republic of Karelia, the Murmansk Region, the Nenets, Chukchi, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Yakutia (Sakha), the Arkhangelsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The competition for vacant positions assumes a mixed format: correspondence selection of candidates, a series of public events, a phased group and individual assessment. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to attract and evaluate more than 10 thousand candidates.

The organizers of the Arctic Challenge program are the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, JSC Far East and Arctic Development Corporation together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.
