Today, the first meeting of participants of a new ecological and educational project within the framework of the Kazanka Development Strategy will take place on the Kazanka embankment near the picnic area at GIMS.
First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Shigapov is among the speakers today. He will tell how the river can become a platform for eco-education and how everyone can contribute to improve the ecological condition of our water bodies.
Maria Kozhevnikova, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Ecology and Nature Management of KFU, Daria Tolovenkova, Deputy Chief Architect of Kazan, and Nailya Zinnatullina, curator of urban environment development programs in Tatarstan, will also talk about the Kazanka development strategy.
The project was organized by the Kazanka Development Strategy team together with the Executive Committee of the City of Kazan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Federal University and the platform "Another Matter".
