Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva got acquainted with the best solutions for the conservation of water resources

Today, within the framework of the VI All-Russian Water Congress, a round table of the Scientific and Technical Council of Rosprirodnadzor was held on the topic "Application of technologies and technical solutions for wastewater treatment corresponding to BAT, on the example of federal projects". Olga Manidicheva, Deputy Minister of Ecology, also took part in it, she made a report on water quality standards established taking into account regional peculiarities. 
In her report, the Deputy Minister raised issues on the development and implementation of regional water quality standards that take into account natural background concentrations of chemicals and natural features of specific water areas. According to Olga Manidicheva, today these issues are of particular importance for the preservation of water bodies formed under the influence of natural factors, as well as for the effective regulation of wastewater intake.
The key task of the Congress this year is the formation of consolidated proposals of authorities and water use industries to ensure the sustainable functioning of the water management complex in the conditions of economic sanctions, technological and logistical constraints.

The VI All-Russian Water Congress is being held in Moscow with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the assistance of the Special Representative of the President of Russia on Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport S.B. Ivanov. During the 3 days of the congress, 27 round tables and thematic sessions will be held aimed at discussing the effectiveness of existing and planned measures of state support for water management, the specifics of further implementation of federal projects and state programs on water resources, taking into account adjustments to their cost, timing of implementation and difficulties with technological support, as well as the possibilities of transition to accelerated import substitution of industry equipment for the purpose of uninterrupted execution of all construction, design and engineering works in the water management complex.
