Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met today with the head of the Lower Volga Basin Water Management, Nikolai Ponomarev
The meeting was attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov and Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Nafigin.
They discussed issues of long-term cooperation on the implementation of federal projects "Improving the Volga River" and "Preserving unique water bodies", issues on financing a number of facilities for the next year, as well as the possibility of holding a meeting of the Basin Council of the Lower Volga Basin District in Kazan.
Let us recall that this year in the Republic of Tatarstan, the construction of a coastal protection structure in the village of Kamskoye Estuary is underway, 4 water bodies are being cleared within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies" (clearing the right tributary of the Mesha river at Nikolskoye village and cleaning the pond in Derzhavino village of Laishevsky district, clearing the right tributary of the Vyatka river in Mamadysh and clearing the riverbed of the Bersut river near the village of Kamsky Lespromkhoz of the Mamadysh municipal district), as well as the overhaul of 14 hydraulic structures.
