This became possible thanks to the retrofitting of two mobile environmental laboratories of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with modern ecological and analytical equipment for automatic determination of formaldehyde concentrations.
Also, similar equipment will be installed at the automatic air pollution control station (AAPCS) of the Ministry on Maksimov Street. This AAPCS is located in the zone of the largest industrial enterprises of the republic.
Equipping laboratories and stations with such equipment will allow for prompt response to the facts of contamination with this chemical, classified as a hazard class 2.
Let us recall that since September 2021, round-the-clock automatic monitoring of the formaldehyde content in the air has been organized by the Ministry at 4 AAPCS and 1 PEL in Nizhnekamsk, covering the zone of influence of the largest chemical and petrochemical industries. During the period of continuous monitoring, the excess of the permissible formaldehyde content in the air was not recorded
For reference: Currently there are 16 automatic air pollution control stations located on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Also, 6 mobile environmental laboratories equipped with automatic equipment are used to ensure rapid response. The equipment installed at AAPCS provides continuous measurements of concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air with an average of 20 minutes for comparison with the maximum permissible maximum single concentrations of substances in the air.
