Tatarstan ecologists today shared their experience in solving environmental problems with colleagues from Chuvashia
Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by a delegation of the Chuvash Republic headed by the Minister of Ecology Emir Bedertdinov.
At the beginning of the meeting, colleagues from Chuvashia were introduced to the work of a mobile laboratory and an automatic air pollution control station. Such environmental posts, and there are 16 of them in total, are used throughout the territory of the republic for rapid response when detecting pollution facts. Automatic monitoring stations transmit information on 36 major pollutants every 20 minutes.
After colleagues were shown the capabilities of the laboratory and ASKZAS, a round table on the exchange of experience was held at the Ministry. Welcoming the guests, the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan briefly told about each direction in the work of the department – environmental monitoring, subsoil use, environmental education, supervision, activities under the national project "Ecology".
"Over the past 30 years, the gross regional product in Tatarstan has increased 3 times, and the volume of industrial emissions has decreased by 24%. All this is our collective work – the leadership of the Republic, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, industrial enterprises and our federal colleagues," said Alexander Shadrikov.
The guests were also told about the work of the Environmental monitoring System (EMS). The system performs automated and continuous monitoring of the state of atmospheric air. It allows you to objectively assess the cumulative impact on the atmospheric air of all sources of emissions operating in a particular area and helps in finding a potential violator.
In addition to work in the field of atmospheric air protection, Tatarstan environmentalists shared their experience in water monitoring. There are 240 monitoring points of manual sampling on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, which show the quality of water. Colleagues were also introduced to the experience in the field of subsoil use, supervisory activities and the practice of conducting the national project "Ecology".
