National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan is Honored at the International Level

According to the decision of the International jury of the Project, the Head of the Natural History Department of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan Marina Novikova is awarded with the award pin “V.I.Vernadsky's Medal” for consistent work in the sphere of environmental education and culture. The ceremonial event took place in Moscow in the State Geological Museum named after Vladimir Vernadsky.

The project “Environment in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan” became a winner in the nomination “Environmental culture of social initiatives”, and the project “Environmental Education on the basis of the State Natural Wildlife Areas of the Republic of Tatarstan” of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was honored in the nomination “Biodiversity Conservation and Landscapes Improvement”. More than 300 projects from 50 subjects of the Russian Federation applied for participation in the contest. In particular, participants from the Republic of Tatarstan, the Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous districts, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Stavropolsk, Primorsk, Krasnodar Krais, the Sverdlovsk, Murmansk, Orel, and Vologda regions applied for participation.

Vladimir Grachev, the President of the Fund named after V.I.Vernadsky, expressed confidence that implementation of this project would result in transfer of positive environmental experience of regions to other subjects of the Russian Federation.

At the end of the event the start of the Tenth Anniversary Contest for “The National Environmental Award named after V.I.Vernadsky” was declared.
