The history of this holiday began in 1992, when at a UN conference where environmental problems were discussed; the great importance of environmental education for the development of mankind was emphasized.
In Russia, this holiday has been celebrated since 1996. Its main goal is the promotion of environmental awareness and the formation of ecological culture of the population. And what do you know about environment? Students can easily test their knowledge these days. From April 5 to 25, the All-Russian Online Olympiad on Ecology and the Surrounding world is being held for students from grades 1 to 6.
