Environmentalists have left today following a complaint from residents of the Peat residential area of the Sovetsky district of Kazan
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal about the unauthorized disposal of waste. As the inspectors note, they went to the Torfyanaya Street for examination in the winter. Then an unauthorized dumping of snow was registered here. The total volume of snow placed was 3000 cubic meters, the area of 16650 sq.m. According to the revealed fact, a request was sent to
the Department of the Federal Register of the Republic of Tatarstan to establish data on the rightholder of the land plot. A notification was sent to the Administration of the Sovetsky district for the protocol of inspection and sampling of snow. According to the results of biotesting, excess amounts of chloride, sulfate, and petroleum products were found in the contaminated snow. On February 17, a protocol was drawn up at the MCU "Administration of the Soviet district of the ICMO of Kazan" according to Part 1 of art.8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. "Non-compliance with environmental protection requirements in the collection, accumulation, transportation, processing, disposal or neutralization of production and consumption waste." On February 19, the material was sent to the court for a decision. Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry again went to the place. Littering of the territory with waste has been revealed. A warning has been issued to the owner of the land plot. He will be obliged to eliminate environmental violations.
