The start of the ecological spring! "The two–month period is an occasion for us all to unite once again"
Today, a sanitary and ecological two-month period has started in Tatarstan, the main purpose of which is the sanitary cleaning of the territories of settlements, the identification and elimination of landfills that have accumulated over the winter period.
As the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov noted, the two–month holiday is not only traditional cleaning actions and events, it is an occasion for everyone to unite once again. We remind you that the Ministry has a republican public environmental reception, where any concerned resident of the republic can leave a complaint and report unauthorized landfills. All the revealed facts of violations are recorded in the geographic information system GIS "Ecological Map" www.ecokarta.tatar.ru . The information is available online.
It is worth noting that over the past 5 years, the number of residents who annually take part in environmental events has increased to 1.2 million people, and the number of environmental violations is decreasing by 30% every year. This speaks about the ecological awareness and culture of Tatarstan people.
