The release of goods from recycled waste will be subsidized at the expense of environmental collection funds

From 2023, part of the funds coming to the federal budget from the environmental levy will be used to subsidize companies and individual entrepreneurs producing goods from recycled waste. This resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

The amount of state support will be calculated based on the amount of recycled garbage, and the rules for granting subsidies will be approved by the supervisory board of the Russian Environmental Operator.

This innovation will allow us to build a production chain of recycling and processing – from the collection of raw materials to the production of finished products.

The main part of the environmental collection will be directed to the creation of waste processing plants and the purchase of containers for the separate collection of solid household waste.

Let us recall that the reform of the waste management industry began in Russia on January 1, 2019. It is designed to solve the problem of illegal landfills and significantly reduce the amount of garbage exported to landfills.
