"Our main goal is to ensure a prosperous ecological future for both the Republic as a whole and each of our residents. Today I will talk about people – about those for whom we work and about those who work in the department," the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources began his speech today. Alexander Shadrikov noted that the sanitary and ecological two-month period is only part of the work we are doing. He outlined the entire layer of problems and issues that the department solves. Environmental monitoring, subsurface use, environmental education, supervision - the Minister briefly discussed each direction. So, speaking about the quality of atmospheric air, he noted that more than 4 million measurements of atmospheric air quality were carried out last year. Quote: "This colossal work is carried out by 90 of our employees in 8 territorial administrations. Each appeal of residents is accompanied by the attendance of specialists, sampling and analysis." The results of the analytical work showed that the number of excess pollutants in the air decreases annually. As the number of recorded exceedances of MAC decreases as a result of monitoring of water bodies. By order of the President of Tatarstan, a program is being formed to achieve carbon neutrality. An interdepartmental group is working on it, which includes representatives of the Russian and Tatarstan Academies of Sciences, specialists from ministries, enterprises and departments. This is not the only project with scientific support. The Minister recalled the presentation of the pilot project "Improving the ecological state of rivers and reservoirs of the Republic of Tatarstan", which was presented to journalists last week. The social significance of this project was appreciated by all residents of Tatarstan, it took first place in the popular vote on the portal of Public Services. Another project initiated by the Ministry and supported at the federal level is a project to raise sunken vessels. "Currently, work is planned to raise ships. 11 vessels should be lifted from the territory of the Kama basin, 64 vessels - from the Volga basin," Alexander Shadrikov said. The project will be implemented by FAMART. Another priority in the work of the Ministry is to provide the population with high–quality drinking water. For this purpose, it is planned to conduct a large-scale audit of water intake wells. The work is extremely important. High–quality drinking water is the health of the population, creating a favorable environment for living and increasing the investment attractiveness of the districts. The speaker also focused on the current issue of the spring flood. On a daily basis, employees of the department monitor the operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade using the Gidrokaskad software package. "Based on the available analytics, we have reached the federal level with a well-founded initiative to comprehensively solve the problems of regulating the operation of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama Cascade. Namely, we propose to intensify work on the development of new Rules for the use of water resources of the Kuibyshev, Saratov and Volgograd reservoirs, to ensure the creation of additional regulatory capacities by raising the level of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir to 64 meters," the head of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan elaborated on the issue. He also listed the activities within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Ecology", which are scheduled for this and subsequent years. At the end of his speech, Alexander Shadrikov once again outlined the mission of the Ministry: "Behind all the figures, projects and programs is the well-being of our Tatarstan citizens and the daily painstaking work of our employees. Environmental issues are getting louder every year and only together, united, we will be able to solve them!"
