A meeting of the Presidium of the Expert Council under the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management was held in the Northern Capital of Russia with the participation of representatives of ministries and departments. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov via videoconference.
Special attention was paid to the development of departmental and regional plans for adaptation to climate change.
Alexander Shadrikov made a presentation. He spoke about the Program to achieve carbon neutrality of the Republic, which is being developed on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Of particular interest were the projects "Ecology of industrial cities" and "Development of a cartographic basis for calculating the sequestration potential of the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The work here is carried out within the framework of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program.
