Almost every day we start with the weather forecast. This is the most popular news, based on which we build our plans, and this is an important sign of trust and recognition of the importance of your work. For 188 years, Russian meteorologists have been looking into the future every day to protect the interests of state security and the economy in the present. The history of meteorology in Tatarstan dates back two centuries. Back in the first half of the 19th century, professors of Kazan Federal University created meteorological stations on the territory of the Kazan district and studied climatic phenomena. The willingness to act at the right time, the ability to predict in advance and take measures that will save the most valuable – human lives, these are the tasks that cannot be handled without accurate meteorological analyses, calculations and research. It is no coincidence that this year the motto of the World Meteorological Day was early warning and early action. It is thanks to the continuous observations of meteorologists that it is possible to quickly take measures to eliminate the negative impact on the environment, to warn all services in time about the impending bad weather.
