A new building of the Rosprirodnadzor department was inaugurated in Nizhnekamsk today

Today in Nizhnekamsk, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova solemnly opened a new building of the Department of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor and the Zakamsky Testing Laboratory of the branch of the Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements in the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, the Department was awarded a certificate for the purchase of 10 new passenger cars. The new building and the retrofitted laboratory will allow state inspectors of the Rosprirodnadzor Department and laboratory specialists to increase the effectiveness of response in case of emergency situations, taking into account the peculiarities of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that a favorable environment is the most important component of comfortable living conditions for people. "There is a huge technogenic load on the environment in the Nizhnekamsk industrial district. We understood this, and we took the necessary measures step by step. Our main task is to improve the quality of life of citizens. This is clean water, air, and habitat. A lot is being done in this direction in the republic. All projects implemented today on the territory of Tatarstan undergo the strictest environmental expertise," the President of the Republic noted. The laboratory with the most modern equipment will allow monitoring the condition of soil, air, wastewater, production and consumption waste. "Nizhnekamsk is a powerful industrial cluster. We know how the residents of the city need clear information and an understanding of the ecological situation in which they live. There are quite a large number of industrial enterprises that bear a serious burden on the environment. I am very grateful to the leadership of the republic for the support provided. Now we will be able to conduct timely monitoring, respond to residents' requests and be where we are needed on time," Head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova thanked the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan for all-round support.

And today, in the Great Hall of the House of Soviets of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, an expanded meeting was held "On the results of the work of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Environmental Management in 2021 and tasks for 2022". The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Svetlana Radionova, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov, as well as heads of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of ministries and departments, law enforcement agencies, large enterprises of Tatarstan, Mari El and the Chuvash Republic. In his speech, the head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor Fayaz Shakirov summed up the supervisory activities of the Volga-Kama Department in 2021 and spoke about the priorities for 2022.

The head of the department stated: in 2021, more than 2,000 violations were detected. Fines totaling 64 million rubles were imposed, the penalty is 73.8%. He noted that within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga", the Branch of "CLATM for the Republic of Tatarstan" and the Branch of "CLATM for the Chuvash Republic" of the FSBI "CLATM for the Volga Federal District" is monitoring the surface waters of the Kuibyshev and Cheboksary reservoirs. Laboratory studies of the quality of wastewater discharged by enterprises into surface water bodies are also carried out.

Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov and Minister of Ecology of the Chuvash Republic Emir Bedertdinov made a report on the implementation of activities within the framework of the National Project "Ecology" on the territory of the subjects. Ramil Mullin, Head of the Executive Committee of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the implementation of environmental measures in the Nizhnekamsk district.
