"It is difficult for birds to winter – it is necessary to help the birds!". Eco-campaigns were held in secondary schools of the districts
"Take care and protect the birds, feed them in winter, build and repair feeders in a timely manner!". Under this slogan, an ecological holiday "Birds are our friends!" was held at the primary secondary school No. 4 in Arsk. The guys told their peers interesting facts about hibernating birds, complementing their address with a presentation. So, the students learned that birds need to eat much more often and more calories in the cold season than in the warm season, but birds move less in winter to save precious energy. At the end of the eco-lesson, the children hung feeders made with their own hands next to the school, laid out treats for birds in them and promised to take care of the birds.
"Such events contribute to the development of children's need to communicate with nature and the world around them, to foster responsibility for our younger brothers," the specialists of the Northern TA noted. Employees of the territorial administration presented certificates to the most active participants of environmental actions.
It should be noted that an ecological hour on the theme "Birds have friends" was also held in the Nuriner secondary school of the Baltasinsky district. It's us – you and me!". The children learned through informative conversation, games and riddles about how to take care of and help birds in the winter period of the year.
