Schoolchildren of MBOU "Arskaya GES No. 1" visited ecologists of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry. Specially for the children, a tour of the laboratory was organized to graphically show and tell how the sampling and analysis of soil, water, and air samples are done. The knowledge gained in the lessons was also useful to the students. Experts told what chemical elements can pose a danger to human health and why. Schoolchildren were shown in practice how the presence or absence of pollutants in samples is detected. The children, in turn, asked questions about the work of environmentalists and shared their knowledge about the environment themselves. "Excursions to the laboratory contribute to the development of students' interest in research activities. After all, during such classes, they get acquainted with the work, tasks and functions of the inspection and can ask all the questions they are interested in," the specialists of the Northern TA noted.
