Tatarstan hosts the WorldSkills Russia regional championship on the competence "Environmental protection"
From November 15 to November 19, the first stage of RT regional championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) of the championship cycle of 2021/2022 in the competence "Environmental protection" takes place on the basis of the Kazan Petrochemical College named after Lushnikov. 8 students from different cities of our republic took part in the age category "from 16 to 22 years": Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Bugulma and Chistopol.
The participants of the championship were greeted by Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Olga Manidicheva. She noted that last year the Republic of Tatarstan for the first time took part in the competence on ecology "Environmental protection". "In our world, the profession of an ecologist has acquired special significance and therefore this competence is very important and necessary for us. I wish you to successfully pass all the tests and adequately represent the Republic of Tatarstan at the federal level!" the Deputy Minister added. She also stressed that the Ministry supports the contestants and assists in the training of young professionals.
The championship in the Republic takes place in November-December in 156 competencies for contestants of the age category "from 16 to 22 years", as well as in 101 competencies of the "WorldSkills Juniors" direction, where contestants aged "from 16 years and younger" take part.
Summing up and closing of the championship will be held online on December 4, 2021.
