8 thousand carp fry were released into the reservoirs of the republic by Bashkir oilmen
The next stage of stocking the Nizhnekamsk reservoir was carried out by employees of Bashneft-Dobycha LLC. From the shoreline in Naberezhnye Chelny, they, under the supervision of representatives of the Srednevolzhsky territorial Administration of Rosrybolovstvo, sent 8.1 thousand carp fry on a long voyage. The chances of survival are high. The optimistic forecast is due to the fact that the average weight of fry is 40 grams, whereas at least 20 grams is sufficient for acceptable survival. It is worth noting that the number of fry and the selection of fish release points are not random. The place of stocking and the optimal number of individuals were recommended by specialists of the State Research Institute of Lake and River Fisheries. The release of fry at these points will make it possible to minimize the negative human impact on the environment as effectively as possible. The number of released fry was also the result of a scientific calculation. Two aspects were taken into account: the first - there are enough biological resources in the release sites to feed the number of juveniles that were released, and the second - the number of released fry will not destroy the natural food base that ensures the survival of other fish species.
Let us recall that this is not the first step for the company to replenish biological resources in the regions of its presence. This year alone, oilmen released more than 520.5 thousand fry of sterlet listed in the Red Book into reservoirs. Moreover, almost 105 thousand fingerlings were released on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The stocking of the Kuibyshev reservoir with a rare breed of fish was carried out in Kazan and near the village of Staraya Pristan in the Laishevsky district, in the Nizhnekamsk reservoir – the release was carried out in Naberezhnye Chelny. Now carp fry have been added to them.
