Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed the fact of illegal extraction of common mineral resources(limestone) in Kerligach deposit (siteNo. 1) to the west of Kerligach village of Leninogorsk municipal districtby the Limited Liability company “Kerligach management of open cast mines”.

Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department revealed violation in the activity of the Limited Liability Company “TIS” in the course of an ordinary field examination. In the course of operation ofa powder coating curing oven the company emitted harmful pollutants into the air without special permission, which violates paragraph 1 of Article 14 of the Federal Law“On air protection”No. 96-FZas ofMay 4,1999.

An on-site class of pupils engaged in the project group of school No. 2 of Buinsk was held in the framework of implementation of research and practice project “Health of my school” (school ecological monitoring) in the building of the Trans-Volga Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Pupils familiarized with the activity of the Trans-Volga subsidiary of the Central specialized inspection of analytical control, where practical lessons on laboratory analysis of water samples drawn from the Sviaga river were given.

The meeting of the Committee of the State Council for Ecology, use of natural resources and agricultural matters was held on March12 at the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.The First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustem Kamalov, presented a report on fulfillment of legislative regulations in the field of soil protection and rational use of land resources by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Joint work with the Administration of the Federal Service of Russia for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the Environment (Roshydromet) was acknowledged in the field of monitoring of the state and pollution of the environment. The Ministry of Ecology controls soil pollution in compliance with the approved schedule for environment state control.At present, the monitoring is carried out by eight specialized inspections of analytical control under the Ministry at 37 monitoring points, including specially protected natural areas with obtainment of baseline values of pollutants to evaluate ecological state of the territory and their use in the course of state environmental control over economic activity of the users of natural resources

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan is holding the Vspecialized exhibition and congress “Clean water. Kazan 2014” with the assistance of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan andthe Federal Water Resources Agency. The events will be held on March 26-28th.

“Clean water. Kazan” is a complex event including mainly an exhibition and a congress that are held simultaneously, thus, allowing to combine demonstration of advanced technologies with discussion of problems faced by this industry.The whole spectrum of equipment and services for restoration and protection of water resources, utility and industrial water supply, purification of waste waters and water bottling will be presented at the exhibition by participating companies

The Second International Forum “Human health and nutrition 2014” will be held in Moscow on April 24-25th. The main aim of the event is to achieve interrelation between health of the population, nutrition quality and life style in order to come to solutions in the field of legal groundwork for food security, prevention and treatment of diseases of the population through nutrition; development of the domestic market of healthy and eco-friendly food products; improvement of social, medical and preventative nutrition.

A report of citizens on emission of a great amount of smoke from the Production Geological Association “Edinstvo” toward the nursery No. 8 “Zorenka” in Naberezhnye Chelny, located at the address: 52nd complex of the New City, 40 years of Victory str., was received by the Cis-Kama Territorial Departmentunder the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Experts of theCis-Kama Territorial Department arranged a raid, in the course whereof the air was sampled for emissions of pollutants. Following the results of the analysis it was revealed that a warehouse was arranged in one of the garages owned by “Orion-Met” LLC, the content whereofhad a negative impact on the environment in the form of emissions of pollutants into the air (namely carbon oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and carbon char). With regard to this fact, the protocol on administrative violation was drawn upaccording to part 1 of Article 8.21 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Emission of pollutants into the air or harmful physical impact thereon with no special permission”. The materials were referred to the Naberezhnye Chelny Court, by the decision whereof the activity of “Orion-Met” LLC was suspended for 30 days.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, met with the First Vice President of the open joint-stock company “Gazprombank”, Tatyana Yurlova. The suggestions on recycling of organic wastes using high-efficiency microbiological fertilizers were reviewed.

The IVRepublican Youth Forum was held in Kazan Tennis Academy.This year 46 projects in eight categories were presented at the final stage of the Forum.Participants of the Forum included young people from 16 to 30 years old (young scientists youngerthan 35), students of higher or vocational educational establishmentsof the Republic of Tatarstan, proponents of children’s and youth public associations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Two projects in the category “Ecological safety” were shortlisted, namely “EcoApp” and “Program complex and methodology for optimization of urban tree planting planning”.

Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an ordinary raid on the territory of Admiralteyskaya Sloboda.Representatives of Kazan Interdistrict Nature Protection Prosecutor’s Office, the Sixth Nature Protection Investigation department of the VolgaInterregionalInvestigation Department under theInvestigation Committee of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan, experts of the municipal unitary enterprise “Vodokanal” were invited for joint work. Discharge of storm sewers of the companies that discharge wastewaters into the old bend of the river Kazanka was checked. Inspectors of the Central specialized inspection of analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstandrew water samples of storm sewersand sampled the point of mixingwith natural water. All in all, 6 samples were drawn, including 4 samples of sewage waters and 2 samples of natural water to determine the degree of contamination.According to the State Inspector of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Almaz Zakirov, the main aim of the inspection lies in detection of the sources of pollution, bringing of offenders to the responsibility established by law, as well as cessation of discharge of polluted drains into the water facility.
