The XIIInternational Research-to-Practice Conference “New Ideas on Earth Sciences”isheldthesedaysinMoscow. Theeventisorganizedbythe Russian State Geological Prospecting University n. a. Sergo Ordzhonikidzе. Round tables are held and the following scientific sections work in the course of the conference devoted to the problems of geology andsubsurface resources management:
- “Sectionofgeologicalprocesses,stratigraphy, tectonics andgeodynamics”;
- “Sectionofsedimentary basins and the problems of coal, petroleum and gas”;
- “Section of mineralogy, petrography and geochemistry”;
- “Sectionofgeology and exploration ofsolid commercial minerals; minerageny”;
Judicial Board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan reviewed an appeal regarding bitumen spill in Derbyshki. By court order, three individuals will be held criminally liable, and they will have to indemnify against financial damage.

Judicial Board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan reviewed an appeal of condemned Nurgalieva D.I. with regard to the sentence of Sovetsky District Court of Kazan as of 15.12.2014 upon criminal case No. 1-277/14. The complaint was dismissed, and the verdict came into force on February 24, 2015 under Article 390 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation.

InspectorsoftheCis-KamaTerritorialDepartmentundertheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstanrevealedextractionof commonly occurring mineral resources (clay) onApril 1st, 2015 together with fellow workers of the Economic Crime Unit under Komsomolsky Department of Internal Affairs on the total area of 7,150 square meters on the territory of Komsomolsky district of Naberezhnye Chelny in the course of the state ecological monitoring.
Commonly occurring mineralOnMarch28, 2015 theMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstancarriedouttheinternationalcampaign“Earth Hour” from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, which was also supported by executive and municipal authorities of the Republic, companies and organizations, as well as population of the Republic of Tatarstan. Architecturalanddecorativehighlightingofbuildings and constructions was turned off along with lighting of residential buildings and electrical devices, and the measures aimed at decrease of energy consumption were implemented.
During the campaignarchitectural and decorative highlighting of the Reserve Museum “Kazan Kremlin” in Kazan was switched off including residency of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Government Palace, the Kul Sharif mosque, the Annunciation Cathedral and other constructions of the ensemble, buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Big Concert HallStartingApril 1, 2015,allnatureprotectionservices, specializedministriesandauthorities, executive committees of municipal formations of the Republic proceeded to a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign in order to clean territories of cities and municipal districts of the Republic and put them in proper sanitary and ecological order.
Duringthefirstdaysofthetwo-monthcampaign, supervisoryauthorities(theMinistryofEcologyandmunicipalformations) revealed in the Republic, all in all, 110 violations, while 50 whereof have been eliminated; following the results whereof 87 protocols have been drawn up, including one against a legal entity, 15 against officials, and 72 against individuals; fines have been imposed to the amount of302.5 thousand rubles.
Allinall,Theconference “Ecologyand energy efficiency” was held today at the expo center “Kazan Fair” in the framework of the XVI International specialized exhibition “Energetics.Cost-effective use of resources-2015”. The event was held under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of TatarstanRustem Kamalov with participation of the UNIDO’s national project manager in the Russian Federation Boris Melnichuk. Participants of the conference discussed the matters related to implementation of energy-saving programs, as well as further enhancement of efficiency of the use offuel and energy resources. Apressconferencedevotedtotheannual nature protection, ecological and educational campaign “Starlingshavecome” will be held on April 6th at noon at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan(Kazan, 75 Pavlyukhina str.).
“Starlingshavecome” is an annual nature protection campaign, the central event whereof features a contest among children for the best birdhouse and birdfeeder. In the last years it united several thousands of children, teachers and their parents. Toparticipateinthecontest, childrencreatedbirdhousesthattoday still can be seen on the streets and in the parks of our city.This year, for the 4th time, the campaign will be held in Kazan. Asearlier, anychild over 6 years old can participate in the contest.
