Students, postgrads, young scientists and researchers participated in the II Republican Youth Ecological Research Conference. The event was held at the Institute for Problems of Natural Resources Use and Ecology under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustem Kamalov, participated in the conference. The International project "Contest & exhibition of children's creative work 'The Red Book through the eyes of children'" is implemented in the framework of the International ecological campaign "To save and protect" under the aegis of the National Commission for UNESCO, the International Organization "Northern Forum".

The following creative pieces of work are accepted for the contest:

• those inspired by personal impressions related to acquaintance with the Red Books of various regions and countries, as well as pertaining to the meeting with extinctive species inhabiting specially protected natural areas (during expeditions), and impressions after watching films or visiting Zoos;

those touching upon ecology and morality

The Ministry of Ecology announces a contest for active participants of Saturday work campaigns and nature protection campaigns. In order to participate, one should be subscribed to the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Ecology and post his/her photo or a video spot from the Saturday work campaign or any other nature protection campaign under the hashtag #ECOSPRING2016 (#ECOVESNA2016).

The following non-commercial organizations are not allowed to participate: political parties and movements, labor unions, state and municipal institutions, as well as non-commercial organizations, in relation whereto the decision on liquidation or re-organization was made.

"A sound mind in a sound body", - the event related to the World Day of Health Protection was held under this slogan at nursery No. 8 of Arsk Municipal District. Ecological specialists of the Priikskoe Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew samples of soil and melted snow today at the site of oil spillage in Bavly district. As a reminder,  an accident involving an oil tanker (owned by the carrier "Samara transportation company" LLC) took place today in the morning, in the catchment basin of the Kandyz River near Novozarechensk village. As a result of the accident, the area of oil spillage on the landscape of 500 m2 amounted to 24 m3.  At a glance, the oil slick didn't reach the Kandyz River.
