The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the 4th Open Republican Youth Contest of Social Ecological Advertisement “Clear view”.
The contest is aimed at involvement of the population in solution of problems regarding environment protection, providing of young people with a possibility to express their attitude to this or that problem in the field of ecology. Pieces of work should feature ideas and approaches to solution of the most burning ecological problems of the RussianOnJune10,2015, fellow workers of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan organized the campaign for cleaning of coastal areas of small rivers and water facilities “Clean shores to our rivers and lakes”.StudentsofNaberezhnye Chelny Institute (subsidiary) of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Establishment of Higher Professional Education “Kazan (Volga) Federal University”, pupils of a sports school “YAR CHALLLY”, pupils of a sports brigade of secondary school No. 35 of Naberezhnye Chelnyparticipatedinit. Thecampaigncovered the coastal area of the Kama river in the district of urban “Sandaliya”. Thecoastalterritorystretchingfor 3 km was cleaned during the event, and about 5 cubic meters of trash have been collected.
TheGoeteGermanCulturalCenterundertheGerman Embassy in Moscow with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federationin cooperation with theresearch and development institutes of Germany and Russia announced the All-Russian contest“Schoolforecology: to think, to research, and to act!”. Teamsofpupilsofforms7 – 11, as well as their teachers of German andsubject teachers (biology, geography, chemistry, physics and ecology) can participate in the contest. ThepupilsshouldfeatureaprojectinGermanonresearchoftheecologicalsituationintheircity (village), on their street, or at school, for example: water and air quality, the state of soil, energy consumption, flora and fauna, wastes, health/nutrition.
TheSaturdayworkcampaignorganizedbytheCharityFund “Happystories” washeldonJune6, 2015 in the forestland on Dubravnaya street in Kazan with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Students of Kazan State Technical University and citizens participated in the territory cleaning amounting to about 70 participantsin general.
About 50 bags of litter have been collected during several hours of the Saturday work campaign.
The campaign in support of forest cleanliness urges the citizens to take active partin the environment protection and aims at formation of ecological culture of the population.

The measures that we implement are aimed at long-term perspective of formation in our Republic of comfortable live environment, assurance of ecological well-being and effective nature protection activity. Moreover, to ensure complex solution of these important tasks and considering the wealth of water resources possessed by Tatarstan, it is planned to devote the Year 2016 to water protection areas. Today, inspectorsoftheCentralTerritorialDepartmentunder the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of Kazan Interdistrict Nature Protection Prosecutor’s Officeinspected the water area of the Kazanka river to reveal unauthorized discharges into the river and to further identify offenders and hold them administratively liable. Dischargeofwastewatersfromthe storm water drain was detected on the left shore of the Kazanka.Experts of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstandrew samples of waste waters and natural waters, following the results whereof the damage inflicted on the water facility will be estimated. Atpresent, theadministrativeproceedings have been initiated against offenders and those who allowed discharge of polluted waste waters into Kaban Lake.
TheMinisterforEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstan, ArtemSidorov, announced the results of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign held in the Republic from April 1st to May 31, 2015 in the course of the briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the course of these two months municipal formations, nature protection services of the Republic, specialized ministries and authorities, companies and organizations, as well as citizens of the Republiccarried out work aimed at sanitary and ecological cleaning.
Allinall, morethan 7,000 violations in the field of management of consumption and production waste were revealed. Inthecourseofsupervisoryevents, 1,635 illegal landfills were detected, 91% whereof, i.e. 1,486 landfills have already been liquidated.
