Environmental education of the younger generation is one of the main tasks set by the employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. For the new academic year, ecologists have traditionally prepared informative environmental lessons and eco-educational events for the children. Thus, specialists of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration began their educational activities in terms of nature protection with a tour of the laboratory for students of the MAEI "Engineering Lyceum" in Almetyevsk. The children learned what the acid-base balance is, saw how chlorides are determined in water and in soil, studied the functions of the paramecium caudatum through a microscope and tried to catch daphnia for a toxicological experiment in practice. Also, the students were shown a plant for producing distilled water and told about the program for monitoring the purity of atmospheric air in Almetyevsk. "Our eco-lessons are popular among children and teachers, all this is due to interactivity and modern equipment. We strive to form the foundations of the ecological culture of schoolchildren and instill them to take care of the environment," the specialists of the South - Eastern TA noted.
