"Ecology: What do residents demand from the state and how is society ready to contribute?"

This topic was outlined today at a meeting of the Volga Expert Club, which was held online. The event was attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the sixth convocation Ilya Wolfson, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the seventh convocation Olga Pavlova, Deputy General Director of the Fund for Investment Development of Territories Ruslan Gadzhiev, head of the Tatarstan youth public organization "Will be clean" Dilara Satikova and blogger, eco-activist Alina Safina.

During the meeting, the speakers discussed the interaction of society, business and government in solving environmental issues; in particular, they touched upon the separate accumulation of waste and environmental education of citizens. In his speech, the minister noted that in the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 11.5 billion rubles are allocated annually for environmental protection measures, but the well-being of citizens depends on the joint efforts of the government and society.

"Every year more and more residents are interested in ecology and are involved in environmental protection, thereby providing us with great support. We are open to everyone, we are ready to discuss any constructive ideas and proposals, and take the best ones into work," Alexander Shadrikov said.
