The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan held a round table where options for cooperation with the Russian Geographical Society were discussed. The First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Shigapov, Deputy Ministers Egor Tarnavsky and Olga Manidicheva, Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Nikolai Kasimov, Director of the Regional Development Department of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Korlykhanov and Chairman of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Shiller took part in it.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged information about the ongoing work, cooperation for the current period and prospects for further cooperation. As a result of the event, it was decided to work together within the framework of the upcoming pilot project on studying and mapping the basin of one of the small rivers of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as on cooperation within the framework of the pilot project implemented by the RGS with the Yandex partner to create the "Nature trails, Eco- routes" layer.
