Ildar Halikov, the Prime Minister for Tatarstan, met with the Chairman of the Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature

The Prime Minister for Tatarstan Ildar Halikov met with Pete Wood, the Chairman of the Commission for Ecosystems Management of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Kalev Sepp, a professor of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Conservation and Management of natural and cultural landscapes and natural heritage. Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Nail Magdeev, the Minister for Forestry of the republic, also took part in the meeting in the House of the Government of Tatarstan.
Welcoming Pete Wood and Kalev Sepp, Ildar Halikov, the Prime Minister for the Republic of Tatarstan, pointed out that the offer on carrying out the First World Congress on ecosystems and cultural landscapes management in Kazan in 2015 is of great interest. “It will be an international event which will be of great significance not only for the republic, but also for all Russia. The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan has already started its work with federal colleagues related to the congress format, and I am sure that we will organize this event at the highest level.” – addressed to guests Ildar Halikov.
In the course of the meeting its participants discussed details of preparation for the congress carrying out and specified further steps in this direction.
