Competition "National Environmental Award named after V. I. Vernadsky" is aimed at identifying and popularizing implemented projects in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety, energy and resource conservation, the development of new technologies in industry and energy, the introduction of the best available technologies, the formation of environmental culture and the development of environmental education in the interests of sustainable development based on the ideas of Academician V. I. Vernadsky and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Projects of individuals and legal entities (registered on the territory of the Russian Federation), groups of individuals (copyright collectives), state structures are allowed to participate in the competition. The composition of a group of individuals should not exceed 10 people. No more than one project is accepted from one participant. Only projects whose practical implementation began no more than five years ago are allowed to participate in the competition.

"Sustainable cities"
"Conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity"
"Education as a path to sustainable development"
"Startup: universities as centers for creating innovations for industry"
"Media contribution to sustainable development"
"Children's and Youth Environmental Award "(for children and adolescents from 6 to 18 years old).
