In the Buinsky district, work has begun on clearing and dredging the left tributary of the Karl River

More than 17.8 million rubles will be allocated for clearing and dredging the left tributary of the Karla River in the Buinsky district. The work is carried out within the framework of the allocated subventions for the implementation of certain powers in the field of water relations.

The measures are aimed at protecting the population of Buinsk from flooding with water to prevent the negative impact of flood waters and improve the environmental situation in the settlement. 110 residential buildings, outbuildings, engineering communications and structures, warehouses fall into the flood zone.  The area of flooding is 27.86 hectares. As a result of the measures carried out, the flow capacity of the riverbed, the watercourse and water exchange will increase, which will generally have a favorable effect on the local flora and fauna.

To date, clearing of tree and shrub vegetation and uprooting of stumps is carried out at the water object.

According to the length of the object, it is planned to clear about 3 km of the riverbed. The work will last until 2023.
