Alexander Shadrikov: "Tatarstan occupies one of the leading positions among the subjects of the Russian Federation in solving issues in the field of environmental protection"
Today, a round table on the topic "Environmental safety in industrial cities" was held in the regional public reception of of the United Russia political party. The event was attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan" Artur Nikolaev, Deputy General Director of the Fund for Investment Development of Territories Ruslan Gadzhiev, Chairman of the regional branch in the Republic of Tatarstan of the All-Russian Public organization "Center for Environmental Policy and Culture" Elena Minakova and representatives of public organizations.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the implementation of environmental responsibility programs of Tatarstan enterprises, the protection and development of the environmental environment for industrial cities, as well as the implementation of public, volunteer projects in the field of environmental protection.
In his welcoming speech, Alexander Shadrikov stressed that Tatarstan is an environmentally oriented region and occupies one of the leading positions among the subjects of the Russian Federation in solving issues in the field of environmental protection and energy conservation.
"The policy of resource efficiency remains one of the components of the overall strategy of socio-economic development of Tatarstan, and at the same time is a priority direction," the head of the environmental protection agency noted. "The use of secondary material or energy resources in the production process reduces the level of negative impact on the environment, saves resources for future generations and in many cases creates competitive advantages."
Alexander Shadrikov also said that enterprises of the republic play a significant role in greening. An example is PAO Tatneft and the enterprises of the Nizhnekamsk industrial complex, where 62 enterprises operate on a common production territory.
