4 km of the Mesha riverbed will be cleared near the village of Nikolskoye as part of the "Ecology" national project

Work has begun on clearing the right tributary of the Mesha River near the village of Nikolskoye, Laishevsky district, for which 54.8 million rubles have been allocated.  

The events are held under the federal project "Conservation of unique water bodies" of the "Ecology" national project.

The riverbed will be cleared on an area of 32,375 hectares, the length will be 4 km.

The purpose of the event is to deepen the shallow water, remove the sediment layer containing biogenic elements in the bottom sediments, which will eliminate the risk of secondary pollution of the river waters.

To date, the object is carried out uprooting and cutting down of tree and shrub vegetation, dredging of bottom sediments in a hydro-mechanized way.

As a result of the work carried out, the capacity of the water body will increase, which will reduce the negative impact on the surrounding area and improve the living conditions of more than 1.200 people.
