“The Earth is a Humankind Cradle”

Today the events dated to the International Earth Day took place in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with representatives of public and educational institutions. Campaigns on improvement and landscaping were carried out in the territory of two educational institutions of the city of Kazan – Gymnasia No. 20 and Lyceum No. 5 - at the initiative of the Ministry and with the support of “Gorvodzelenkhoz”. The latter one allocated topsoil for bushes and flowers planting to these educational institutions. The ecological and educational event “The Earth is a Humankind Cradle” was carried out for listeners of the “School of a Young Ecologist” at Lyceum No. 5. In the course of the event pupils decided for everyone to take and set their own plant in and to look after it on their own afterwards.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was dedicated to the start of the sanitary and ecological two-month period and environmental work plans for 2026 within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being".

Today, at the weekly staff meeting with the heads of structural and territorial divisions, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, presented badges and official identification cards to the staff of the department.
As part of the monitoring of the territory of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors of the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation.
