Today in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan the press conference devoted to the beginning of the campaign “The Grackles Have Come” took place. The campaign has been carried out for the second time, this time it is carried out within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection. Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, and representatives of the “Maksidom” Company took part in the press conference. According to the staff of the Ministry of Ecology, the first campaign that took place in April, 2012, showed good results. About 300 feed racks and nesting boxes made by pupils were placed in the parks of the city. This year several schools have already expressed their desire to take part in the campaign again. Educational institutions of the Vakhitovsk and the Volga areas of Kazan will get all the necessary materials and tools. However, everyone can take part in the campaign. It is necessary to apply for participation on the site www.maxi-konkurs.ru till April 19, 2013. The results will be announced on April 21 at 10.30 in the Central Park named after Gorky.
As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
