The International Bird Day is celebrated annually on April 1 within the framework of the UNESCO “Man and Biosphere” programme. The day before a holiday where all visitors were called to care for migratory birds, namely, to build nesting boxes for them took place in the Kazan Zoo. The feedboxes exhibition “Bird's Happiness” took place on the same day. The “All birds are flying to visit us” holiday will take place in the National Museum of the Republic together with the representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan at 12.00 on April 3.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
