The 4th specialized Congress and Exposition “Clean Water. Kazan” was opened at “Kazan Fair” JSC

Today, the 4th specialized exhibition “Clean Water. Kazan” was opened at the exhibition center “Kazan Fair”. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Halikov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency of Water Resources Igor Nikitin, Deputy of the State Duma, Member of the Committee for Natural Resources, Nature Management and Ecology Fatikh Sibagatullin, Head of the Lower Volga Sub-basin Water Administration under the Federal Agency of Water Resources Anatoly Bykov, Director of the Center for International Industrial Cooperation UNIDO in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov,Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov and others participated in the ceremony of opening of the Congress and Exhibition “Clean Water. Kazan”.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Halikov welcomed participants of the event and noted that each year the Congress and Exhibition devoted to clean water attract more and more attention of guests visiting the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Suggestions that are typically made during the exhibition are actively used by many large organizations and companies. According to the Prime Minister, “Clean water” is appraised with grateful feedback from citizens of rural settlements and villages. Today’s Congress and Exhibition became another possibility not only to see new technologies, but also to discuss the issues that bother citizens of Tatarstan and the companies responsible for water supply in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Moreover, participants of the Congress and Exhibition were welcomed by Deputy Head of the Federal Agency of Water Resources Igor Nikitin, Head of the Lower Volga Sub-basin Water Administration under the Federal Agency of Water Resources Anatoly Bykov, and after that the exposition was officially opened.
Guests of honor headed by Ildar Halikov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, did an exhibition. A wide range of equipment and services for water resources recovery and protection, municipal and production water supply, repair of pipeline system, heating and hot water supply, wastewater treatment, water bottling, and last developments in this sphere were presented at the exhibition.
The event has already been held in Kazan for the fourth time. Production enterprises, departments, scientific institutions, business structures from Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Lipetsk, Dzerzhinsk, Ulyanovsk, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Tolyatti, Samara as well as from such foreign countries as Germany and Denmark took part in the exhibition.
Then the event was followed by the plenary session “Development of water industry in Russia” in the course of which prominent scientists, experts and representatives of organizations related to water resources protection and their rational use brought to the congress participants’ attention their reports on the best practices of implementation of international and regional programs concerning solution of issues related to ecological rationing, regulation of impact on natural waters, water resources cross-border use and protection.
Then the congress continued its work within the framework of the round table, devoted to the topic “Discussion of water resources rational use, protection and effective management of water use in Russia”. The work of the round table was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Lower Volga Sub-basin Water Administration, and “Sredvolgavodkhoz” Federal State Institution. Anatoly Bykov, the Head of the Lower Volga Sub-basin Water Administration, and Rustem Kamalov, the First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the work of the round table.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
