“Children Draw the Country”

The contest “Children Draw the Country” has started in the Republic of Tatarstan, carried out by the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Tatarstan” together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the “United Russia” political party. This year the Seventh Republican Television Contest is devoted to the Year of environmental culture and protection and the Universiade. All schools of the republic can take part in it. Those who have depicted the future Universiade and shown how to save the nature best of all will be awarded with prizes at the beginning of June on the International Children's Day.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
