Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov spoke about the statistics of suppressed violations and the most high-profile crimes against nature for 2020 at a briefing at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Head of the department emphasized that within the framework of the instructions given by the Head of state Vladimir Putin, the control of wastewater discharge in Tatarstan is carried out even more intensively. Information about 1,287 landfills has been entered on the Ecological Map of the Republic since the beginning of the year, 96% of them have now been eliminated. Examples of environmental violations were also given by Fayaz Shakirov, First Deputy Minister - Chief State Inspector for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, he told about soil pollution with waste of oil products in Nurlat, filling a ravine with construction waste in the Altan village in Kazan, unlicensed mining of common mineral resources in the Alkeyevskiy district and other facts of violations.
