Students Got Acquainted with the Work of New Block Waste Treatment Facilities

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the tour about new block waste treatment facilities installed in the village Russian Aktash was organized for students in the Almetyevsk municipal area. Specialists of the South-East Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan acted as one of organizers of the tour.

The fourth year students of the Institute of Economy, Management and Law were told about the principles of waste treatment facilities work. New block treatment facilities were put into operation in 2012. It was one of the most significant events, allowing to lower environmental footprint on the river Stepnoy Zay. Young people found out that the construction of new waste treatment facilities is of great importance to the village since a large number of social objects and enterprises function in the territory of the village.

Staff members of the South-East Territorial Department demonstrated to the students the procedure of the state environmental monitoring, having taken samples of the water of the river Stepnoy Zay. Students also went to the laboratory where the staff of the specialized inspection of analytical monitoring demonstrated analyses of the samples. Students asked questions, and the most courageous tried themselves as experts of the laboratory.
